Instant chicken bone broth for dogs and cats

Collagen-rich chicken gravy. Straight from the tap.

NutriFlex® Instant Chicken Bone Broth is slow-cooked chicken bone broth with the water taken out and five extras plain broth doesn’t have: prebiotic konjac fibre, nutritional yeast, carrot, parsley and turmeric. Sprinkle a 3 g scoop straight onto their food, or stir it into hot tap water for a rich, savoury gravy in 2 to 5 minutes. Either way, every scoop brings collagen for skin, coat and joints, prebiotic fibre for a healthy gut and wholefood B vitamins for energy.

  • Collagen-rich, 49% protein for a glossy coat, supple skin, strong joints and a healthy gut lining
  • More than bone broth: added prebiotic konjac fibre to feed good gut bacteria, nutritional yeast for natural B vitamins and turmeric for joints
  • Hydrates pets who walk straight past the water bowl, with fluid and electrolytes in every serving
  • Supports recovery after illness, surgery or a tummy upset, when food and water get refused
  • Tempts picky eaters and seniors who have lost interest in their food
  • Hides pills and supplements in a gravy they actually want
  • Free from red meat, so it suits pets with a beef, pork or lamb allergy
  • ★★★★★ Loved by SA pet parents
  • Reg. V35351 Act 36/1947
  • Certified human-grade
  • Recommended by veterinarians

How it's made

All the goodness of the pot, none of the washing up

We start with meaty chicken bones simmered for hours until the broth turns rich and gelatinous. That broth is gently dried to a concentrate, which locks in its protein, collagen and savoury flavour. We then blend in five ingredients a home cook would never think to add: konjac fibre, nutritional yeast, carrot, parsley and turmeric. The result keeps for months in the cupboard and turns back into broth with nothing but warm water.

6ingredients, nothing else

No fillers, carriers or bulking agents. Every gram in the tub is an active ingredient.

Six ingredients

Inspired by science. Created by nature.

Every ingredient in NutriFlex® Instant Chicken Bone Broth earns its place. There are six of them and nothing else.

Whole raw chicken, the source of the bone broth in NutriFlex® Instant Chicken Bone Broth

Chicken bone broth

Simmered for hours from meaty chicken bones. It carries collagen, glycine and proline for skin, joints and the gut lining, plus calcium, phosphorus and magnesium for strong bones and teeth. Its gelatin coats and soothes the digestive tract.

Bunch of fresh carrots, dehydrated into the carrot flakes in NutriFlex® Instant Chicken Bone Broth

Carrot

Rich in beta-carotene, which the body converts into vitamin A for clear eyes, healthy skin and a strong immune system. Its fibre keeps bowel movements regular.

Scoop of nutritional yeast flakes, the wholefood vitamin B source in NutriFlex® Instant Chicken Bone Broth

Nutritional yeast

A deactivated yeast and a wholefood source of the B vitamin complex, the vitamins that turn food into energy. It brings biotin for a shiny coat, beta-glucans for immunity and a savoury aroma pets love.

Sliced konjac root, the source of the glucomannan prebiotic fibre in NutriFlex® Instant Chicken Bone Broth

Glucomannan (konjac root)

A prebiotic fibre, meaning it feeds the beneficial bacteria in your pet's gut. It supports firm, regular stools, helps pets feel full on fewer calories and thickens the gravy as it stands.

Bowl of chopped fresh parsley, an ingredient in NutriFlex® Instant Chicken Bone Broth

Parsley

Rich in vitamins A, C and K. Its vitamin C helps the body build collagen from the broth and its chlorophyll freshens breath naturally.

Fresh turmeric root, an ingredient in NutriFlex® Instant Chicken Bone Broth

Turmeric

Its curcumin is one of the most studied natural anti-inflammatories. It supports comfortable, mobile joints and fights the oxidative stress that ages cells.

Who it's for

Made for the bowl-sniffers, the slow drinkers and the pill-spitters

  • Picky eaters who sniff the bowl and walk away
  • Seniors who have lost interest in food
  • Pets recovering from illness, surgery or a tummy upset
  • Dogs and cats who drink too little water, including cats with their naturally low thirst drive
  • Pets with a red meat allergy, since chicken is the only animal protein in the tub
  • Diabetic dogs and cats, since it has no added sugar and 0.5 g of carbohydrate per scoop
  • Pill time, for pets who spit out tablets and supplements
  • Puppies and kittens from 8 weeks old
  • Any pet parent who wants more flavour and nutrition in every bowl

Three ways to serve

  1. As a dry topper: sprinkle a scoop straight onto their food. Nothing to mix.
  2. As gravy: stir 1 scoop into 20 to 60 ml of hot tap water, leave to thicken for 2 to 5 minutes, stir again and pour over your pet's meal.
  3. As a warm drink or ice treat: mix with extra hot tap water and serve on its own between meals, or freeze the gravy in an ice tray for a cool summer snack.

Benefits for dogs and cats

Eight reasons the bowl comes back empty

Collagen for skin, coat and joints

Collagen is the main structural protein of skin, coat, cartilage, tendons, ligaments and the gut lining. A pet's own collagen production slows with age. NutriFlex® Chicken Bone Broth delivers it from slow-cooked chicken bones, with glucosamine and chondroitin naturally present. Parsley adds the vitamin C the body needs to build collagen, nutritional yeast adds biotin and carrot adds vitamin A. The result is a glossy coat, supple skin and joints that keep up on walks.

Gut support from two directions

Bone broth is one of the gentlest foods for a sensitive stomach. Its gelatin soothes an irritated gut and supplies glycine and proline, the amino acids the body uses to repair the gut lining. On top of the broth, every scoop carries added konjac fibre, a prebiotic that feeds the good bacteria in your pet's gut. Together they support firm stools, comfortable digestion and a balanced microbiome.

Hydration in every bowl

Each scoop is stirred into 20 to 60 ml of hot tap water, or more for a thirsty pet, so every serving puts fluid and electrolytes into pets who ignore the water bowl. It suits cats with their naturally low thirst drive, active dogs after exercise and every pet in a hot South African summer. Add a little to the water bowl itself and many dogs start drinking more on their own.

Support through recovery

A pet who is unwell, recovering from surgery or getting over a tummy upset turns away from food and water just when they need both most. Warm bone broth is easy to digest and hard to resist, so it gets fluid, electrolytes and protein into them while their appetite returns. The collagen supplies the amino acids the body rebuilds tissue with.

Picky eaters clean the bowl

Warm water releases the savoury aroma of chicken broth and nutritional yeast. Smell is what decides whether a dog or cat eats. Pet parents use it to tempt seniors with a fading appetite, cats who turn their noses up and pets who are off their food after a stressful week.

Comfortable, mobile joints

Turmeric's curcumin calms the inflammation behind stiff joints, while the broth's glycine and collagen supply the building blocks of cartilage. It pairs naturally with NutriFlex® Maintenance or NutriFlex® Advanced joint supplements. The gravy makes both easier to give.

Protein, B vitamins and energy

At 49% protein, every 3 g scoop adds 1.5 g of highly digestible protein for 10 kcal. The added nutritional yeast brings the B vitamin complex for energy and vitality, plus the tryptophan collagen on its own lacks.

Easy pill time

Tablets and supplements disappear into a spoonful of chicken gravy. Pet parents of pill-spitting dogs and cats use it to turn a daily struggle into a treat they wait for.

No added sugar, low-carb

A meal topper that's safe for diabetic pets

NutriFlex® Instant Chicken Bone Broth has no added sugar, maltodextrin, glucose or cornstarch. Each scoop carries 0.5 g of glycaemic carbohydrate, so a diabetic dog or cat can have it every day. It's a smart choice for any pet watching their weight too.

0 gadded sugar

0.5 gglycaemic carbohydrate per scoop

0.03 gfat per scoop

10 kcalper 3 g scoop

Helps keep blood glucose steady

The added konjac fibre is a soluble fibre that slows how fast sugars from the rest of the meal are absorbed.

Meals on time for insulin

A diabetic pet who is off their food will eat on time with a savoury gravy over their bowl, which matters when insulin is timed to meals.

Fills them up, not out

Konjac fibre absorbs water and adds volume, so pets on a weight plan feel full on 10 kcal a scoop.

Keep it consistent. Serve the same amount with the same meals every day so your pet's carbohydrate intake stays in step with their insulin. Share the guaranteed analysis with whoever manages their insulin.

Side by side

Chicken broth three ways, compared

A carton of liquid broth is four-fifths water. A pot on the stove takes a day. A tub of NutriFlex® takes a scoop.

Feeding guide

How much to give and how long it lasts

Sprinkle a level scoop (3 g) onto your pet's food, or mix it with 20 to 60 ml of hot tap water, stir well and leave to thicken for 2 to 5 minutes. Serve warm as a between-meal treat or pour over their meal, once or twice daily.

Pet weightLevel scoops per servingHot tap water180 g tub lasts (once daily)
Cats and dogs up to 15 kg120 to 60 ml60 days
16 to 30 kg240 to 120 ml30 days
31 to 45 kg360 to 180 ml20 days
46 kg and over480 to 240 ml15 days

Add more water for thirsty or under-drinking pets. The water amounts are a starting point. Thin the gravy to suit your pet's taste or hydration needs. A 180 g tub makes 3.6 litres of broth at 60 ml a scoop. Like it thinner? It makes even more.

Pack sizes: 100 g resealable pouch (33 servings), 180 g tub (60 servings), 300 g tub (100 servings).

Do not exceed the recommended daily serving unless directed by a veterinarian. Store at or below 25 °C and keep the lid closed to protect the powder from moisture.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Is chicken bone broth good for dogs and cats?

Yes. Chicken bone broth delivers collagen, glycine and easily digested protein in a form most dogs and cats find irresistible. It is gentle enough for upset stomachs and seniors. NutriFlex® Instant Chicken Bone Broth adds konjac prebiotic fibre, turmeric, parsley, carrot and nutritional yeast, so each scoop also supports joints, digestion, breath and coat.

Can cats have chicken bone broth?

Yes. Most cats adore it. Cats judge food by smell. Warm chicken broth is one of the strongest aromas you can offer. NutriFlex® Instant Chicken Bone Broth contains no onion or garlic, both of which are dangerous for cats. Start with a teaspoon of gravy on their usual food and build up to one scoop for cats up to 15 kg.

Is store-bought chicken stock safe for dogs?

Usually not. Supermarket stock and stock cubes are made for people, so they often contain onion, garlic and a lot of salt. Onion is toxic to dogs and cats, garlic is never safe for cats and heavy salt is wrong for any pet. NutriFlex® Instant Chicken Bone Broth is made for pets, with no onion, garlic, stock cubes or MSG.

Is it safe for a dog with a beef allergy?

Yes. Chicken is the only animal protein in the tub. It is free from beef, pork, lamb, venison and every red meat derivative. If your dog reacts to chicken instead, try NutriFlex® Instant Beef Bone Broth.

Chicken or beef bone broth: which should I buy?

Pick chicken for a pet who can't eat red meat, for the extra joint support of turmeric, for fresher breath from parsley or for the lowest fat at 0.03 g a scoop. Pick NutriFlex® Instant Beef Bone Broth for a pet allergic to chicken, for the highest protein at 65% or for a pet on a kidney diet, since it carries 0.6 mg of sodium per scoop against chicken's 15 mg. Plenty of pet parents alternate between the two.

Is chicken broth good for a dog with an upset stomach?

Yes. Light, warm chicken broth is a classic first food after vomiting or a runny tummy. It replaces lost fluid, coats the gut with gelatin and coaxes a dog with no appetite to eat. At 0.03 g of fat per scoop, NutriFlex® Instant Chicken Bone Broth is gentle on the pancreas too. Begin with a thin broth and half a scoop, then build up.

Why does it contain turmeric?

For joints. Turmeric's active compound, curcumin, calms the inflammation behind stiffness and supports comfortable movement. The small food-level amount in each scoop is safe for dogs and cats and blends into the chicken flavour.

Will it help my dog's breath?

Yes. Parsley is rich in chlorophyll, a natural deodoriser that works from the inside. Daily use keeps breath fresher, alongside regular dental care.

Is it suitable for diabetic or overweight pets?

Yes. A scoop holds 10 kcal and 0.5 g of glycaemic carbohydrate, with no added sugar or cornstarch. Its konjac fibre slows the uptake of sugars from the meal and helps pets feel full. Give diabetic pets the same amount at the same meals every day.

How many scoops does my pet need?

One level 3 g scoop per 15 kg of body weight, once or twice daily. Cats and dogs up to 15 kg get 1 scoop, 16 to 30 kg get 2, 31 to 45 kg get 3 and 46 kg and over get 4. Serve it dry or with 20 to 60 ml of warm water per scoop.

More years. More love.
