There haven't been any specific studies on the effects of NutriFlex DentaMax in pregnant or lactating animals. As a result, we advise against administering the product to expecting or nursing pets.

Hyperthyroidism is a prevalent condition in older cats, typically affecting those over 8 years of age. It's infrequent in dogs.

This disorder arises from an overproduction of thyroid hormone by the thyroid glands located in the neck. Thyroid hormone plays a crucial role in regulating the body's metabolic rate.

Consequently, hyperthyroid animals often experience rapid energy consumption, leading to weight loss, even though they may exhibit an increased appetite and consume more food.

Iodine is vital for the proper function of the thyroid gland. It's naturally found in seaweed, including the variety used in NutriFlex DentaMax.

While iodine is essential, there isn't evidence to indicate that elevated iodine levels directly cause hyperthyroidism. The body has feedback mechanisms to manage different iodine levels.

Only extremely low or exceptionally high iodine levels might be problematic. Notably, 1 gram of DentaMax contains 650 micrograms of iodine, which does not fall into these extreme categories.

If your pet has been diagnosed with hyperthyroidism, we recommend not using DentaMax. If you are unsure, please consult your veterinarian for further advice.
