"Strawberry" and Tom Ro Haven recommends NutriFlex anti-ageing collagen for horses

Tom Ro Haven for Equines and Children is a registered NPO based in Noordhoek (Western Cape). Since 2012 we have been rescuing abused and neglected horses and using them in equine-assisted healing programmes to help those deemed to be at risk or suffering from mental health issues.
Many of our rescue animals have endured extreme abuse and neglect, and it is always a long road to restoring health and trust.
Strawberry came to us as a 14-month-old filly. She had been born and raised on the Cape Flats; her owner no longer wanted her. Although her condition was not bad, we can never be sure if Strawberry or her mother ever received proper nutrition, especially during the pregnancy. Poor nutrition can and does have a significant impact on health and development and health which often results in issues that may only present later in life.
Strawberry started developing clicking joints at around two years of age. It was intermittent but became more pronounced as she grew older. We started her on traditional joint supplements to support her joints, but the clicking continued.
Julia Edwards, CEO of SmartPack brands based in Muizenberg, contacted us to donate several tins of Nutriflex® Maintenance collagen for horses which we immediately started feeding to all of our herd. We have a herd of 18, so we decided not to give it to them daily (as recommended) because we wanted to make it last!! But despite this, Strawberrys’ joints have stopped clicking!! Her transformation was incredible and almost unbelievable as it happened so quickly. To date, we have not backed Strawberry because of her joint clicking, but now we can!
The other horses in the herd have also benefited, not all of them have joint issues, but they continue to get their NutriFlex anyway. What I have noticed is a definite spring in their step. The entire herd is so much more energetic, with lots of crazy playing. Even our little broken necked pony, Bonny, has become like a young horse, galloping across the field and joining in far more games than she used to. At 24 years old, Bonny is no longer the sedate old lady she once was!
So thank you, Julia and Nutriflex®, for this miraculous powder! The clinical benefits of collagen are well known and documented, but to witness the results first-hand is just wonderful!
